We heard about a free kid-friendly holiday event today at the Triangle, so we decided to check it out. It was small, but cute with community performances, a bounce house, some activities and treats... And Santa. Nico was very clear she didn't want to take a picture with him. We told her that was fine. But then she wanted a candy cane. We told her she'd have to ask Santa politely herself. So, she mustered up the courage to walk over and shake his hand. The flash didn't work on my camera, so this is the best I could capture. She's not quite over her fear of Santa, but I think this was a good first step!
