Nico loves to visit Tita's and JeJe's house in Houston. There is always a lot for her to get into, and she is constantly trying to keep things and make them hers. This time, she was fortunate enough to inherit some of Sara's toys, so we came home with more than we'd arrived with. She carefully monitored us as we were packing up the car to leave:
Little did we know, she had also packed some precious cargo of her own, and she went over to her backpack to check on it (Remember, no one at this point knows what she is doing, but she unzips her backpack, checks, then zips it back up!).
Finally, as I was grabbing the last of our things inside, I came out to a laughing JeJe who announced we were going to have to have all our bags searched, because he'd found some contraband in Nico's backpack. As he was handing her the bag, she had 'fessed up that she'd stashed one of their pewter roosters away. In fact, her exact words were, "There's a rooster in there!"
Caught! Red-handed!
