Compliments

Nico has been using her best verbal flare lately to give compliments.

While I was trying on a new pair of shoes and asked her if she liked them, she said, "Yes." But I commented that she hadn't even seen them (she was in her room), so she stepped out into the hallway, looked the shoes, and exclaimed, "Oh, Mama! Those are awesome!" The inflection was hilarious.

Then she wanted to wear them:

What? You don't wear your PJs with the shirt around your neck?

She also told me my necklace was pretty: "I like your necklace. It's very pretty." And when I laughed and told her that I loved her, she said, "Thank you, Mama."

Love a girl who can give and accept a compliment!
