Well, Mama has a herniated disc in the lumbar region, which essentially means this jelly-like substance is oozing out and touching a nerve, thereby wreaking all sorts of havoc on the lower back and right side of my body, including pain, pain, and more pain. [Sigh]
Treatment plan: Time (generally 6-8 weeks), physical therapy (I go on Wednesday for the initial consult) and regular doses of ibuprofen. What a bummer.
