Another successful day at the Fest. The dust was swirling in the air, and I managed to mostly see/hear bands within eye- and ear-shot of Base Camp. Here are a few:
Nachito Herrera and the All Stars - I actually got up to go see this one in the "gospel" tent (awesome Latin music and seriously cute older man dancing!)

Spiritualized (not so much - a lot of noise)

Iron & Wine (great in the background - they're a little sleepy-sounding)

Beck, clearly, you have to take my word for it. :) It was packed! But he was great, despite starting late and ending early-- at the exact same time as Robert Plant and Allison Krauss, which created the largest mass exodus at ACL Festival ever seen in 7 years (see below)!
The literal Sea of People leaving the festival. We just stopped to the side, put down our chairs, and waited for the crowds to thin out!!!
And more Base Camp:

Neal & Me
Bobby

Josh and Erin

Mark, Neal & Ethan
Day 3 is up next, although the jury is still out whether or not I will make any of it. . .

Definitely I should stay home and BABY SIT....not my cup of TEA...But is is great to see how many of the younger population is really enjoying this gathering. Good luck with the third day and on top of that UT WON....Ooray, g'ma Monique sitting comfortably in ther house, but getting ready for a quieter soccer game. Bye
What is it with Beck starting late and leaving early? He was at Street Scene in SD last weekend and he barely played and then didn't do an encore (I don't think people were that into the show, which is weird!). Then Seiko & Chris/Danielle/Rob saw Beck & Spoon & MGMT in LA and said Beck was totally not into the show at all and again didn't play very long. It's too bad.
Yeah, that's super-lame of Beck. But Foo Fighters made up for it by starting 5 minutes early and ending 15 minutes late. LOVE THEM!
Can't understand nay of the "jargon" being written in the comments section, this is how "old" I can be but them I am a g'ma to be....
That's okay, Mom. Grandmas babysitting is equally important to the success of the festival. :)
